A fantastic collaboration between NZAOT members and suppliers (that’s us and maybe you!) has resulted in over 40 kilograms of Occupational Therapy text books being donated and freighted to Nigeria. What a great result, which will help educate future OTs in Nigeria. Well done to everybody who contributed books or freight costs!
So much to do – SO LITTLE TIME
23/04/2010 by MSINZThe theme at the moment seems to be WHERE DO I START ? When wanting to go to NZ to work. Our advice is professional registration should be your first step. It is the key to your availability to work and make a living in this beautiful country. Without professional registration you can not get a job which is most cases means no visa. If you are a Speech and Language Therapist you will need membership to NZSTA. It is not required by law that’s true but then again employers will not consider your application without it. If you are stuck or can’t see the wood from the trees get in touch we are here to answer questions you may have and/or point you in the right direction . You can find our contact details here http://www.medicalstaffing.co.nz/contact.asp .

Get their buy in!!
22/02/2010 by MSINZConsidering the move to another place in the world is a fantastic time to create new opportunities for all parties involved in this adventure. To create a lasting positive and functional outcome its is our experience that it is important that everyone feels heard and is ready to strive for the same overall goal. Moving short or long-term is an exciting yet stressful phase in your live. It is so much easier to conquer the hard calls that will have to be made in such a mayor change in live if you can all see the common goals strongly and are working as a team to overcome any challenges that might occur.
